Linking to a Database
The program (front end file) links to the data (back end file). In a network situation each computer has the program, but each front end file is linked to the same back end file, which is usually located on the server.

Go to Company Information and select Open Data File. It will display which file you are currently linked to. (Currently C:\Program Files\Tow Dawg\data.mdb). To change the link to a sample database click Browse. Change the "Look-In:" to your hard drive (Usually C:), then double click Program Files, double click Tow Dawg, single click sample.mdb to highlight it, and then click open. Click Open Data File. You will get a message that says, "opening data file was successful".
